Your SF Giants “Post Game Wrap”

Welcome back Giants fans… this is the Post Game Wrap with your Giants broadcast team– Jon Miller, Dave Flemming, Mike Krukow, and I’m Duane Kuiper.

Kuiper: This was not a good one, Kruk. There’s not a lot left to say after a 16-1 loss to the stumbling New York Mets…

Krukow: And it was the way this one happened, Smooth… when the Mets got 12 in the first inning and followed that up with 4 in the second it got very tough out here at the ballpark.

Miller: And we saw some strange things on the field tonight…  usually you might see a couple of players argue or go at it but I guess the AT&T Park vendors became very upset when virtually all of this sell-out crowd headed for the exits early…

Flemming: The vendors were furious with the Giants offense and got into it with some of the players in the bottom of the 3rd. Apparently there was some serious scuffling happening on the field…

Kuiper: Polish dogs were flying everywhere and I saw Pablo Sandoval tackle a churro guy and then start stuffing some of those bad boys inside his jersey…

Miller: Yeah, the Giants trainers will not be happy when they see that replay…

Krukow: But I think what really ticked off the Giants was when Mets Manager Terry Collins put in a call to the Mets’ Triple A team in Las Vegas during the 4th inning to get some players brought up for this game.

Flemming: Yeah, the Mets had so many at-bats in the first three innings Collins wanted to rest even his bench players and that did not go over well in the Giants dugout.

Kuiper: So we’re not picking any players tonight for obvious reasons. I mean the Giants scored their only run on a walk, two errors and a balk. And Mike, I think those vendors might have a point and we may not have heard the last from them.

Krukow: Tonight we’re going to ask a question and just go around the booth. And it’s this: when you go into a rest room to use the urinal, do you wash your hands before, after, or both before and after? Who wants to go first… ?

Flemming: I bring my own packet of wet wipes everywhere I go. It’s a decision I made early in my career and it’s paid big dividends for me over the years.

Kuiper: Good call, Dave. Well I’m a both guy. I wash going in, I wash going out. Heck, I wash my hands after every Giants post game wrap…

Miller: So Kuip you’re kind of a belt and suspenders guy… better to be safe and cover all the bases? How about you Mike?

Krukow: I’m still ticked at Terry Collins. That was a bush move calling up those Triple A players and putting them in the game in the 7th inning. This game’s all about respect.

Miller: And that tells me that Kruk doesn’t wash his hands going in or coming out, which reminds me of a long, involved story about an old lefty named Van Langhorn Tate who played for Detroit in 1897…

Kruk: Come on Kahuna give it up, what’s your answer to today’s question?

Miller: Well luckily I had it put in my contract that a van pulling a portable john is at every game I broadcast. Kind of like John Madden, that thing follows me all over the country so I’m in a clean, controlled environment 24/7. Sometimes I’ll even have lunch in there.

Kuiper: And that’s all the time we have… Gentlemen I wouldn’t exactly call tonight’s game “disastrous” for the Giants… I’m thinking that “catastrophic” is a much better description. So goodnight everyone and watch out for those vendors, they are steamed…
